System Overview

UK Watch Technologies designs and installs Medical Alert Systems that provide reliable, site-wide notification of medical emergencies. These systems help organisations achieve faster response times and improved incident management, especially in large, multi-building, or noisy environments.

Each system consists of:

• Multiple “Medical Emergency” call points, similar in appearance to fire alarm call points but clearly coloured blue or yellow and labelled Medical Emergency.

• Loudspeaker horns or ceiling-mounted speakers, positioned at strategic locations to ensure messages are clearly heard across the site.

• A central controller and amplifier, securely installed, capable of storing and broadcasting up to 20 pre-programmed, site-specific messages.

How It Works

In the event of a medical emergency, staff simply activate the nearest Medical Emergency call point, exactly as they would for a fire alarm.

The system immediately:

• Identifies the location of the activation.

• Broadcasts a clear, pre-recorded message through all connected loudspeakers — for example: “Medical emergency in [Location]. First Aider please respond.”

• Repeats the message as many times as required.

The alert can be acknowledged and silenced by entering a specific code, ensuring responders confirm awareness of the incident. Alternatively, systems can be configured to self-silence after a preset time, with the call point reset required to restore normal operation.

Additional Applications

Beyond medical emergencies, the system can be programmed with additional custom messages to enhance site safety and communication.

For example:

• Fire alarm test notifications (“Fire alarm test in progress”) and completion announcements.

• Site-specific alerts such as chemical spills, equipment malfunctions, or security breaches.
